Momo Sakura (ももさくら - Sakura Momo) is a character in Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebirth, starting from the Conception Story onward. She is arguably most important in the Rebirth Story Arc, where she is the object of affection for Daisuke and several other characters, heavily influencing most of their actions. She is a young, bright, and cute girl with a host of freckles that seemed to skip her older sister. Having lived alone for a period of time before reuniting with her sister (who thought she was dead), Momo learned the hardships of life on the street, which gave her a serious, intelligent side that only shows in the most necessary of situations, contrary to her older sister who fully embraced the dog-eat-dog lifestyle.
Momo loves her older sister dearly and would do almost anything for her, and sticks by her whenever she can, not caring whether she lives in Kyoko's shadow or not, as Momo is simply happy someone she loves survived the end of their original family. Due to that event, Momo has an intense hatred for alcohol, and a deep-seated fear of fire.

Momo is a lovely girl, beloved by many and even viewed by some others as "nearly perfect". She does well in school, is quite cute and is cheerful, bright and intelligent, putting others before herself. Momo's best friends are Nagisa Momoe and Yuma Chitose, with the latter being one of the many to have fallen for Momo (something she openly states rather frequently). Momo cares deeply for them both, but often finds herself playing protector and confidant to Daisuke, who trusts her immensely to keep his fragile being from shattering into utter despair.
Momo made her wish to become a Magi when Kyuubey appeared to her following the destruction of her house in the horrible fire set by her father. Wounded, disfigured, and left for dead, Momo made a wish to protect her sister, becoming a puella magi and wandering the streets of Kazimono for several years before finally reuniting with Kyouko in Mitakihara.
